National Credit Union Foundation FinHealth Hub Launches
MADISON, WI (January 30, 2024) – Through the generous support of donors to the FinHealth Fund, the National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) is pleased to announce the launch of the FinHealth Hub.
Designed in a “master class” type of format, the goal of the FinHealth Hub is to have people learn, connect, and grow. The Foundation recognizes that there can be a lot of roadblocks to placing financial well-being for all as a strategic priority. The FinHealth Hub is designed to build a community of fellow practitioners who can learn from each other as well as experts within the credit union movement. In the platform, credit union professionals can:
•Take Courses to learn about Financial Well-Being For All.
•Engage in a forum to collaborate on solving roadblocks and sharing resources.
•Tap into resources and tools to help take action.
“The FinHealth Hub is a must use site for any credit union who is serious about leading with Financial Well-Being For All,” noted Bjorn Larson, Executive Director, Life. Money. You®, LLC, and a credit union leader in the financial health space. “With so many practical tools and advice from industry experts, any organization can use this platform to take its financial well-being programming to the next level,” added Larson.
The FinHealth Fund was created in January 2021 as a five-year program focused on three interrelated efforts:
•Creating a national repository to help credit unions embrace financial well-being for all as a strategic imperative. This is the FinHealth Hub.
•Providing education and upskilling for credit union employees to establish a workforce ready to passionately serve people where they are in their financial lives.
•Supporting industry-wide consumer research, data capture and analysis to prioritize efforts and quantify improvements to members’ financial health.
The FinHealth Hub represents cooperative principle six, Cooperation Amongst Cooperatives. The content on the FinHealth Hub draws from the Foundation and many system partners to ensure that we are not reinventing the wheel – that people can leverage each other’s experience, wisdom, and insights to propel financial well-being for all across all credit unions. People are asking for actionable things they can do, and they want tools to do the work.
