Foundation Promotes Tobi Weingart to Chief Program Officer
The National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation) has announced the promotion of Tobi Weingart to Chief Program Officer. “Tobi has brought keen instructional design and strategy acumen to the Foundation to continuously improve our adult learning offerings,” said Gigi Hyland, Executive Director at the Foundation. “I am excited to see her take on this senior leadership position to help more credit union professionals put cooperative values and principles into practice for the financial well-being of all credit union members and employees.” Weingart joined the Foundation in September 2021 as Education Program Manager. Prior to her work with the Foundation, she served the credit union system for 11 years — for CUNA as a Senior Manager of the Creating Member Loyalty program as well as Manager for Organizational Development with Educators Credit Union in Racine, WI. She has received several certifications — Credit Union Development Educators (CUDE), Development Educator European Union (DEEU) and Credit Union HR Compliance Professional (CUHRCP) – and also holds her Ed.M. in Education, Policy and Organizational Leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an Executive Education certification in Human Resources Management from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. “It is an honor and privilege to serve the credit union movement in this capacity,” said Weingart. “I look forward to supporting both the Foundation’s efforts as we seek to innovate ways for credit union professionals to explore and discover our credit union mission, their unique purpose for serving the credit union movement, and positioning their discoveries for mission-driven impact.” In her new role, Weingart will serve on the Foundation’s Leadership Team with Chief Engagement Officer Danielle Brown and CFOO André Parraway. She will develop, lead, and execute a comprehensive program and product strategy for the Foundation including developing strategies for assessing credit union or system partner needs and positioning the Foundation’s programs and resources as potential solutions through a consultative approach. She will continue to serve as lead facilitator for the delivery of the Foundation’s signature Development Education (DE) program as well as the Foundation’s other experiential offerings.
