National Credit Union Foundation Board Nominations Open

The National Credit Union Foundation is currently seeking nominations for four board seats. Volunteers may generally serve up to three terms of the duration of the term of office for the seat they are selected, as long as they are re-nominated by the Foundation Nominations Committee and re-elected by the Foundation Board.

CU System Can Now Help Fund a New Season of Biz Kid$

The National Credit Union Foundation is currently seeking funding from the credit union system to help sponsor Season 6 of Biz Kid$ episodes to keep Biz Kid$ fresh and timely. The cost to produce Season 6 is $1.1 million.

Biz Kid$ is the only credit union funded and branded public television series that teaches kids about money management and entrepreneurship. It is the first national public television series promoting financial education for elementary through high school students and was created by the same team that produced “Bill Nye the Science Guy”.

On the Blog: Limestone FCU Hosts Biz Kid$ Financial Fitness Camp for Local Kids

Limestone Federal Credit Union (LFCU) used Biz Kid$ at their Financial Fitness Summer Camps to provide free financial education for their local youth,  receiving support from the National Credit Union Foundation through a Biz Kid$ Financial Education Grant.

Biz Kid$ is a youth financial literacy initiative that teaches the next generation about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, money management and more.  Biz Kid$ Financial Education Grants are used to fund innovative programs that improve the financial education of youth through the use of the Biz Kid$ program.
