When Natural Disasters Strike - the Credit Union Movement Responds

The National Credit Union Foundation is working closely with staff at the California and Nevada Credit Union League to direct disaster relief funds to credit union people affected by wildfires in Northern and Southern California. Donations to the Foundation’s General Disaster Relief Fund are being used for any credit union employees and volunteers affected by these wildfires.

CUAid Activated to Assist CU People Affected by Hurricane Michael

The National Credit Union Foundation has opened CUAid to receive disaster relief funds to assist credit union people affected by Hurricane Michael; a Category 4 hurricane that has caused catastrophic effects across Florida and Georgia.

"It's a War Zone Here"

Thanks to the League of Southeastern Credit Unions and other credit unions that spent the weekend delivering portable generators, tarps and other supplies, some of Florida’s financial cooperatives devastated by Hurricane Michael will be in better shape this week to serve their members and employees who living, for now, in a veritable war zone. More About CUAid: Uniting Resources to Help Credit Union People During Disaster

The Foundation offers the first national online disaster relief fundraising center for credit unions. Through CUAid, credit union organizations are encouraged to offer employees and members an online giving option to support The Foundation's Disaster Relief Fund, the only disaster relief fund dedicated to helping credit union people recover from major disasters.
