National Credit Union Foundation Appoints Holly Fearing as Chief Marketing and Experience Officer

HFMADISON, WI (September 10, 2025) – The National Credit Union Foundation (“the Foundation”), the charitable arm of the U.S. credit union movement, is proud to announce the appointment of Holly Fearing as its new Chief Marketing & Experience Officer, effective October 6, 2025.

Fearing joins the Foundation from the Filene Research Institute, where she currently serves as Head of Marketing & Experience. Over the past decade, she has played a pivotal role in positioning Filene as a leading voice in credit union innovation, overseeing marketing, communications, branding, events, and digital experience. Her work has helped drive organizational growth and deepen engagement across the credit union system.

“Holly brings a remarkable blend of strategic insight, creative storytelling, and data-driven innovation to the table,” said Lauren Culp, Executive Director of the National Credit Union Foundation. “Her dynamic leadership and fresh perspective will be invaluable as we work together to deepen our impact and broaden our reach. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

“I’m honored to join the Foundation at such a pivotal moment for the credit union movement,” said Holly Fearing. “Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed how purpose-driven marketing and member-centered experiences create real change. I look forward to collaborating with this incredible team to strengthen the Foundation’s mission and help credit unions improve financial well-being for all.”

Fearing’s career in the credit union movement began at CUNA Mutual Group (now TruStage), where she spent more than eight years honing her communications and business acumen. She earned her Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) designation from the Foundation in 2011, a milestone that further solidified her commitment to financial empowerment.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Fearing is a passionate advocate for cooperatives. She served six years as President of the Board for one of the nation’s largest grocery co-ops and is a sought-after speaker and advisor to credit unions across the U.S. and Canada.

The Foundation conducted a broad search for this key executive role as it continues to expand its mission of improving financial well-being for all. Fearing’s appointment marks a strategic step forward in elevating the Foundation’s brand, deepening engagement, and amplifying the reach and impact of its programs.
