Learn more about Creighton and his passion for the Foundation and credit unions below:

What piqued your interest in joining the Foundation Board?

NCUF was created to make our movement stronger and more impactful. As a self-identified servant leader to our communities, the Foundation seems the perfect platform to match my passions, talents and resources to increase the financial wellbeing of everyone we touch.

What are you most proud of during your time on the Foundation Board?

I am extremely proud of the work we continue to pioneer with our commitment to Financial Wellbeing for all! Also, as a proud DE, I’m always ecstatic to see more and more enrollees into the DE program and even more excited for the work they will produce afterwards with that training.

What is the Foundation’s most important role within the credit union system?

The Foundation’s most important role is to be the philanthropic lever and conscious for Americas Credit Union and the national movement.

Why do you think it’s important for the credit union system to support the Foundation and its work?

We are born of a cooperative spirit and governance so the more we support the Foundation and it’s work, the stronger the credit union system grows. The more it grows, the more our communities and member’s well-being grows.

What inspires you to continue your work within the credit union system?

Hearing from members who consistently state, “I love my Credit Union! They helped me through a situation the bank would not”. This reinforces our difference, and that difference is what inspires me to continue my work regardless of any challenges or obstacles that may present themselves

What’s one thing – either industry-related or not – you learned in the last 6-12 months?

That patience isn’t just a virtue, it’s a talent and skillset. Also, when you are truly committed to service, success is not measured by how well you thought you implemented, it’s measured by how well the entity you are serving got better because of you!

What is your favorite hobby?

Working out! Reading and Writing (Leadership Books, Inspirational and Motivational Books)

What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?

I’m an avid fan of comic books.
