Foundation seeking Financial Health Program Manager

The Foundation is seeking a Financial Health Program Manager to manage our financial well-being initiatives to advance our vision of making financial freedom achievable through credit unions.  The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Finhealth Fund Director in aligning the Foundation’s programmatic financial well-being for all efforts with the work anticipated by the three priorities of the Finhealth Fund, specifically:

  • Creating a national resource library to help credit unions embrace financial well-being for all as a strategic imperative.
  • Providing education and upskilling for credit union employees to establish a workforce ready to passionately serve people where they are in their financial lives. (This includes the concepts of normalizing financial well-being for employees and developing a deep inclusion strategy).
  • Supporting industry-wide consumer research, data capture and analysis to prioritize efforts and quantify improvements to members’ financial health.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the FinHealth Director and Foundation team to support work within the FinHealth Fund 3 key initiatives by the following:
    •  Lead the engagement and administration for the Learning Management System (LearnUpon) to provide a platform to support the three fund initiatives.
    • Build and manage a process to integrate the Foundation’s current financial well-being for all resources and information into the LMS platform.
    • Build and manage a process of gathering speakers, mentors, cohorts, and other engagement tools to provide connection opportunities through the LMS platform.
    • Build and manage a process to continuously provide input, guidance, connections, and resources to credit unions on how to measure, build a strategy and take action to advance financial health and well-being for all through the platform.
  • Participates in other credit union system-wide efforts to advance financial well-being for all.
  • Manage the existing grants program. Manages the grantee relationship and tracks the progress and impact of grants made by the Foundation to credit unions to foster advancements in financial health and well-being for all through our 3rd party provider grantit.com.
  • Working closely with the Foundation’s MarComms team, develop a communication process to share grant insights, learnings, what works and what doesn’t to advance consumer financial health and well-being for all.
  • Co-leads and manages content, speaker and agenda activities and ensures on-site execution of the annual CU FinHealth™ Conference with other Foundation partners.
  • Organizes and manages speaking opportunities for the Finhealth Fund director and other events associated with Financial Well-Being for All.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of increasing responsibility and experience working in program development at a credit union, non-profit, or other community-focused organization with a focus on financial wellness initiatives.
  • Relationship management skills working with large financial institutions, credit unions, nonprofit organizations, and/or technology firms.
  • Superior organizational, project and time management skills with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • The ability to plan and work with external vendors.
  • A highly effective communicator with excellent oral, written, presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to quickly synthesize data and present succinct, cogent arguments verbally and in writing.
  • High degree of flexibility to work in an innovative, fast-paced environment and readily embrace change. An ability to perform effectively under pressure, multitask and to practice strong organizational skills when faced with multiple, time-sensitive priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to think strategically, creatively, and tactically and work independently and collaboratively, productively engaging with others at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to commit to up to 20% of time to domestic travel.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
