are entering the credit union ranks at an unprecedented pace. This
creates a need to inform new and upcoming credit union leaders on the
credit union philosophy and cooperative principles.
workshop is an appropriate learning experience for both seasoned credit
union executives as well as the individuals new to the credit union
movement. The program is designed to get participants to think,
individually and as a group, about new approaches to similar problems
The National Credit Union Foundation provides support for state credit union leagues and Credit Union Development Educators (CUDEs) to host Principle and Philosophy workshops, which is designed to stimulate
conversation around credit union values and principles. In these one to
three day workshops, the Foundation provides participants with an historical
perspective on our cooperative roots while focusing the nine
international operating principles of credit unions.
