Bethpage FCU Increases Commitment to CIF

Bethpage FCU has committed an additional $1 million to the Community Investment Fund (CIF), bringing the total CIF investment for New York State to $30 million. The new investment brings Bethpage's total contributions to $5 million.

"The Community Investment Fund offers credit unions a socially responsible investment option," said Kirk Kordeleski, president/CEO, Bethpage FCU. "This investment is just part of being a good credit union citizen. We hope that this additional investment spurs other New York credit unions to increase their investments or to make their first investment."

Bethpage FCU has always been one of the leading CIF investors, said James L. Mack, chairman, New York Credit Union Foundation (NYCUF). In December 2002, Bethpage invested its first million.
